‘Mini-Figure Mania’ with Legos offered to youth by BG Parks and Rec

The City of Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department and Snapology of Perrysburg are now partnering to bring STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) enrichment programs. These programs are for children ages 6-14 and use Lego bricks as the vehicle to teach academic enrichment and social development while having fun.

The first offering will be Mini-Figure Mania, on Thursdays from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. from Jan. 12 through Feb. 16. All classes will be in the programming room inside the Veterans Building in City Park, 520 Conneaut Ave., Bowling Green.

During the course, participants will play with a stash of mini-figures and create mini-figure worlds using Legos. Academic enrichment in this program includes engaging in topic-centered group conversations, practicing character development, then writing and presenting original stories inspired by the mini-figures.

This Mini-Figure Mania series will be $89 for residents and $96 for nonresidents for the six-week session.

Snapology of Perrysburg will provide all materials used for these classes. Register online at https://bit.ly/MiniFigureMania.
