Pioneering hip-hop drummer Keith LeBlanc to visit BGSU

The Department of Popular Culture and the University Libraries will host world renowned drummer, solo artist and music producer Keith LeBlanc on Wednesday, April 5, at 7 p.m.  in the Pallister Conference Room on the first floor of Jerome Library . 

Titled “12 Movements of Boom” this will be a “conversation” with Keith LeBlanc, discussing his life in music. (This is not a drum demonstration or workshop.)  

Keith LeBlanc is the world’s first Hip-Hop drummer, playing on some of the biggest hits in hip-hop at Sugarhill Records including the Sugarhill Gang, Grandmaster Flash, Sequence and many others. His writing, drumming and production skills have attracted the likes of Living Colour, Peter Gabriel, The Cure, Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, Seal, The Rolling Stones, Annie Lennox and many more.
