Toledo School for the Arts accepting lottery applications for admission

From  TOLEDO SCHOOL FOR THE ARTS

Toledo School for the Arts has started its lottery application season, with the online application for the 2021-2022 school year lottery live now!

TSA is an Ohio public charter school and enrollment is done by lottery.  All students entering grades 6-12 and living in Ohio with lottery applications and all required checklist documentation items in and complete by Friday, Jan. 29 at 3:00 p.m. will qualify for and be included in the 2021-2022 lottery to be held Friday, Feb. 26, 2021.  (Anyone applying or having missing supporting document checklist items for the 2021-2022 school year after the January deadline will go in to a hold status, to be added to the end of the wait list created by the new student lottery.)

The application process is completed online, and those interested should visit www.ts4arts.org for more information.  Questions about enrollment should be directed to TSA’s dedicated Enrollment Department at admissions@ts4arts.org or by calling 419-246-8732 x250.

Due to COVID-19, enrollment season at TSA will look a little bit different this year. In place of the usual on-site visits that the school invites prospective students to attend, there will be a variety of virtual offerings. The monthly First Fridays will still take place on the first Friday of each month at 9am, but will be video offerings that can be found on the ts4arts.org website. Beginning in November these monthly showcases will also include virtual tours beginning at 9:30am. Those interested in those tours will be able to join them via any personal electronic device via Zoom. Keep an eye on the TSA website for a link to RSVP for a tour!

Also missing from the fall season is the typical litany of events that are the hallmark of Toledo School for the Arts. In their place will be a variety of virtual offerings that can be accessed from any web enabled device. Upcoming offerings include a previous recording of this fall’s musical, Something Rotten!, A selection of surreal films by our video production students just in time for Halloween, and TSA’s very first feature length film production! You can find links for these events on our website!

TSA also offers its own streaming service where you can watch shows from past seasons. We encourage everyone to visit https://ts4arts.pivotshare.com/  for a wide selections of concerts, theatrical events, dance showcases, podcasts, and more!
