Trevor Hertzfeld

Trevor “Trevster” Michael Hertzfeld, 17, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born February 15, 1999 at the Toledo Hospital. He was the second child, and only son, of Brad and Beth (Macera) Hertzfeld. Trevor was known by all as a sweet and loving young boy. He was a senior at Anthony Wayne High School. Some of his favorite activities included attending Anthony Wayne athletics, specifically Friday Night football games. He was an avid Notre Dame fan who spent his fall Saturdays watching and rooting for the Irish with his family. Other activities that he loved included family camping trips to Cedar Point, boat rides on Huck & Julie’s boat and sitting alongside his grandparents by their fireplace. By far his favorite food was sherbet ice cream. Trevor battled health issues from birth and his parents cared for him at home. Trevor is survived by his parents Brad & Beth Hertzfeld, sister, Taylor Hertzfeld, grandparents, Sam & Jan Macera and Tom & Marilyn Hertzfeld, aunts and uncles, Sue (Lew) Chandler, Andy (Mrylene) Macera, Lynne (Kevin) Helman, Debbie (Gil) Pantle, Tom (Debbie) Hertzfeld, Todd (Beverly) Hertzfeld, Samara (Lenny) Mayer, Dawn (Joe) Fritscher, and Shawn (Kira) Hertzfeld, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his Aunt Tara Hertzfeld. Family and friends are invited to visitation on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 3-8p.m. at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, 7220 Dutch Rd., Waterville, OH. A Funeral Mass will take place Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maumee, OH. Interment will follow at Whitehouse Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Trevor’s honor to “Anthony Wayne Legacy Block Foundation”, P.O. Box 58, Waterville, OH 43565, for a plaque in his name.
