Update on downtown Columbia Gas work

Columbia Gas of Ohio has provided the city with the following tentative work schedule for the continued installation of the natural gas line installation occurring downtown.

Beginning today, crews will be working on West Wooster Street – specifically the alley just east of the Bowling Green Police Division. Additionally, crews will be on the western portion of the 100 block of South Main Street. This work will result in parking restrictions and possible traffic impacts.

The work within the 100 block of South Main Street is anticipated to last through Saturday, Aug. 18. The work within the alley off of West Wooster Street is anticipated to last through Aug. 25, including both Saturdays.

On Aug. 17, Clough Street from Main to Prospect will be closed to through traffic. Access to City Parking Lot 2 will remain open from Prospect Street. Parking restrictions within the work zone on Clough Street will occur.

On Monday, Aug. 20, crews will be installing natural gas service lines on East Wooster, from Main Street to Circle K. This work will result in the closure of the eastbound lane of traffic. Also beginning on Aug. 20, crews will begin installing the natural gas main line along the eastern portion of South Main Street, from Washington to Pearl Street. All of this work is anticipated to last through Aug. 25.

Restoration crews will continue work within City Parking Lot 1. Once they are complete in Lot 1, the focus will shift back to North Main Street, from Court to Wooster.
