About 40 dogs showed up accompanied by their people friends for “Yappy Hour” at Arlyn’s Good Beer on Saturday afternoon.
While the people sipped beer and other beverages, ate Cajun cuisine offered by Kevin’s food truck, and socialized, the dogs met and played with new friends, human and puppy.
There was a fenced in area where the canine crew could play off leash.
Citizens for BG Dog Parks sponsored the event to raise money and awareness about the need for a dog park in the city.
Raul Ascunce, of the citizens’ group, said they were pleased with the turn out. They are talking with Eric Jones, Arlyn’s owner, about hosting another “Yappy Hour.”
