North Baltimore Public Library presents ‘Ohio Goes to the Movies’

From NORTH BALTIMORE PUBLIC LIBRARY

“Ohio Goes to the Movies” is a statewide celebration of Ohio’s contributions to the film industry, presented as part of America 250 – Ohio. Running from mid-February through October, this 250-day celebration highlights films connected to Ohio – including those featuring Ohio actors, filmmakers, and locations.

Communities across the state will host free movie showings during this event. In North Baltimore, in partnership with the Virginia Theater, a free movie with an Ohio connection will be shown each month.

On Thursday, March 5, there will be a showing of “Behind Enemy Lines” at 6 p.m., with the doors opening at 5 p.m., at the Virginia Theater, 119 N. Main St., North Baltimore. Perrysburg Sam Jaeger appears in this movie.

“A disillusioned navigator, shot down over war-torn Bosnia, goes on the run from the local military as well as an assassin, while his commanding officer risks all to save him.” The film stars Owen Wilson and Gene Hackman.

All movie presentations are free and open to the public, with concessions available for purchase.
