All Saints Catholic Parish in Rossford has installed a Blessing Box on its campus to provide free access to nonperishable food items for individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.

Located outside the Steinbauer Room parking lot entrance at 628 Lime City Road, Rossford, the Blessing Box is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, allowing those in need to access food discreetly, without appointments, paperwork, or questions.

“As Catholics, one of the Corporal Works of Mercy calls on us to ‘feed the hungry,'” said Louise Sarra, parishioner and coordinator of the project. “Our goal is to provide food assistance in a way that respects the dignity of every person. Many people struggle to ask for help, especially when facing difficult financial circumstances. The Blessing Box allows them to take what they need, when they need it, in a compassionate and anonymous way.”

The outdoor location ensures that anyone can access food at any time, whether they are facing a temporary hardship, stretching a tight budget, or simply need a little extra help putting meals on the table. Parish volunteers check and restock the Blessing Box daily with healthy nonperishable food items.

Through this act of neighbor helping neighbor, All Saints Catholic Parish hopes to provide nourishment, hope, and support to those facing hunger in the area.
