Alice T LaHote

Alice T. LaHote, 92, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away October 26, 2022. She was born May 12, 1930 at home in Perrysburg Township to the late Ernest and Helen (Lepper) Haas. She married Donald LaHote on April 15, 1950 and he preceded her in death December 26, 2004.

After her 1948 graduation from Perrysburg High School, Alice worked as a secretary for Willy’s Overland before embracing her role as a stay-at-home mom with her four sons. She was devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were the blessings in her life.

She was a lifelong member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg. With her husband Don, Alice enjoyed golf, camping, biking and attending their children’s and grandchildren’s activities. Alice and Don loved traveling throughout North America and Europe and wintered in Florida. She loved being outdoors andworking in her yard. Alice was a devoted volunteer for Glenwood School, The American Red Cross and the Kitchen of Hope in Perrysburg.

Alice is survived by her sons David (Ruth) LaHote of Bowling Green, Ohio, Larry (Kris) LaHote of Waterville, Ohio, Craig (Nancy) LaHote of Perrysburg, Ohio and Todd (Maureen) LaHote of Louisville, Kentucky. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kelly (Brian) Wesolowski, Tracy (Jake) Vanneman, Lindsay (Austin) Rozelle, Erika LaHote, Alex (Kelly) LaHote, Evan (Hannah) LaHote, Jessica LaHote, Natalie LaHote and Olivia LaHote, 10 great-grandchildren and sisters Dottie Sarver of Luckey, Ohio and Peg Lauer of Perrysburg, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald, brothers Ernest “Spike” Haas, Barney Haas, Truman Haas and Kenneth “Duke” Haas and sister Marietta Seifert.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday November 9, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 E. Front St. Perrysburg, Ohio 43551. Visitation will be held Wednesday morning at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the mass at 11:30 a.m. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dunn Funeral Home in Bowling Green.

Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, PCU-Perrysburg Christians United or St. Rose Church.
