The Bowling Green Exchange Club welcomed Hallie Williams, executive director of Downtown Bowling Green, to its lunch meeting last week. Williams spoke about what it means to be part of a community like downtown BG and how she appreciates the Bowling Green culture of collaboration.
In her presentation, Williams discussed the importance of creating unique experiences through activities, relationships, and community involvement so that locals and visitors alike create memories of downtown Bowling Green. Furthermore, she described why it is important to support the local businesses, invest in each other, and bring new ideas so small businesses can thrive and more people win.
Williams previewed the Firefly Nights event and described BG Rally Day and the Black Swamp Arts Festival as key events that help support downtown local businesses, as well as highlighted the Downtown Dollars program.
