From CITIZENS FOR BG DOG PARKS
A fenced play space will be the feature at the first “Yappy Hour” sponsored by the Citizens for BG Dog Parks.
Dog owners and their canine friends are invited to enjoy the large off-leash area at Arlyn’s Good Beer on Saturday May 20 from 1 p.m. to sunset. In case of rain, the event will be held on May 27.
Arlyn’s, 520 Hankey Ave. in Bowling Green, will donate 16% of all beer sales on the day of the event in support of the efforts by CFBGDP to establish a dog park in the city.
Donations will also be accepted at the “doggie door.”
Kevin’s Kajunette food truck offering Creole-style menu will be at the event from 4-8 p.m.
Musical entertainment starting at 7 p.m. will be provided by the Barn Cats Trio, playing roots and Americana music.
Dogs may come in costume or dress up with available props to pose for a Pawtograph. Pup Cups will be available for a small donation.
Dogs attending the event must be licensed, fully vaccinated, nonaggressive, and responsive to owner’s constant attention.
The CFBGDP Committee is working with the City of Bowling Green on a location and design for the dog park.
