From WOOD COUNTY DISTRICT PUBLIC LIBRARY

The Friends of the Wood County District Public Library donated $10,100 to WCDPL, and the library recently received all of the things that the money helped to fund.

This donation helped to fund:

  • $1,000.00 for the Books for Babies program at the Wood County Hospital, to continue to provide a free book to every baby born at the Wood County Hospital.
  • $4,000.00 for new Penworthy STEAM Kits for WCDPL’s Library of Things, to help children get hands-on learning experiences with science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math.
  • $3,600.00 for VOX Books that combine picture books with audio recordings.
  • $1,500.00 for new activity tables in the Activity Center of the WCDPL Children’s Place.

Families can now check out new STEAM Kits and VOX Books at the library. For more information, visit wcdpl.org.
